Our Club

The Rockingham Dog Club Inc. has been in operation since 1971 and is a Non Profit Organisation that relies on the dedication of experienced volunteers. Our club is open to ALL breeds and we are passionate about educating and training both handlers and their dogs using positive reinforcement and fear free methods.

Our priority is to create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere for handlers and their furry companions, where they can bond and learn at their own pace. We strongly advocate for positive reinforcement dog training methods, which utilise praise and rewards to achieve the best possible results in partnership with your dog. At Rockingham Dog Club, we welcome everyone, whether you are a first-time dog owner or have previous training experience. We offer Puppy Pre School classes for puppies that have not yet been fully vaccinated, which are run in 4 week block sessions. Additionally, we hold Obedience classes for fully vaccinated dogs on Wednesday evenings during school terms.

Our club is fortunate enough to have our own clubrooms with plenty of parking, as well as a beautiful green oval located in Crater Place in Rockingham, Bungaree Oval.

As a member of Rockingham Dog Club, you have the opportunity to attend Committee meetings, which are held every 4th Monday of the month at 7 pm in the clubrooms. If you have any concerns or topics that you would like to discuss, please email the Club Secretary at secretary@rockinghamdogclub.org.au at least 2 weeks before the meeting.
